Curtain & Cause books original stage plays and dinner theater for organizations that need to raise money. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. In short: only what you choose to send us, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone.
What you send us
If you use the contact form, we receive what you type into it: your name, your organization, your email address, your phone number if you give one, and anything you tell us about your fundraiser.
If you ask for Chapter 1 of the Production Playbook, we receive your name, your email address, and your phone number if you give one.
We use that information to answer you, to send you Chapter 1 if you asked for it, and to follow up with you personally about your fundraiser. That can mean a few follow-up emails, and a note before a later season if one of our shows might suit your organization. Each of those is a personal email from us, written to you. We don’t put you on a newsletter or a mass mailing list, we will never sell or otherwise distribute your details, and if you would rather not hear from us again, just say so and we will stop.
What you send is emailed to us, and a private copy is saved in the password-protected back end of this website, where only we can see it. That copy is never shown on the site. It exists so a message is not lost if an email goes astray.
If you email us directly, we use what you tell us in the same way.
What this website collects on its own
This site does not use cookies to track you, does not run analytics, and does not use advertising or tracking pixels, including the Meta or Facebook pixel.
Two things happen that are worth knowing about:
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like almost every web host, their servers record standard technical details about each visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
- Fonts. The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. When your browser loads them, Google receives your IP address, as it would for any site using Google Fonts.
Other sites
This site links to the websites of the shows we represent, such as christmasonthedial.com. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Children
This site is for organizations and the adults who run them. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Seeing or deleting your information
If you have sent us a message or asked for Chapter 1 and want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, email us at booking@curtainandcause.com and we will take care of it.
Changes
If what this site collects changes, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
